What is Chasen:

The chasen is a traditional tool designed specifically for mixing matcha. It has been used for centuries in the Japanese tea ceremony. Our chasen are handcrafted, using a small knife to delicately cut the bamboo into 80 fine spikes.

Why use the bamboo whisk:

Using the Chasen is the key to achieving a perfectly creamy matcha foam with a smooth consistency. By mixing the matcha powder with water and air, the aromas and essences of the matcha tea are released, giving you a truly unforgettable experience.

Chasen Maintenance:

Rinse Immediately: After each use, rinse your chasen with warm water to remove any matcha residue.

Proper Drying: Gently shake off excess water and allow your chasen to air dry in a clean, dry place.

Storage: Store your chasen in a suitable location to prevent damage and keep it in good shape.

Replacement when necessary: ​​Observe the condition and replace if the spikes become damaged or worn significantly.
